The House

Welcome to this charming, fully renovated period home located in the heart of Amboise—an ideal choice for a getaway with family or friends.

On the ground floor, you will find a pleasant living and dining area with a fully equipped open-plan kitchen, as well as a separate toilet.

The living area opens onto a private courtyard—also accessible via a separate entrance—where you can securely store your bicycles.

The courtyard features an outdoor table for six, perfect for enjoying meals al fresco.

Upstairs, the house offers a full bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet, along with two comfortable bedrooms.

The converted attic houses a third, smaller bedroom, ideal for a child or teenager.

All bedrooms are equipped with their own televisions, and there is also a large television in the living room.

For year-round comfort, the house has recently been fitted with air conditioning.

Fully renovated, air-conditioned, and featuring a private courtyard, this home offers a comfortable and practical base for exploring Amboise and the Loire Valley.

Good to know before your stay

The house has been fully renovated and fitted out to ensure a comfortable stay, while preserving the charm and character of this historic Amboise townhouse.

Due to the building's original layout, the staircases are relatively narrow and steep.

Access to the upper floors may therefore be less suitable for guests with mobility issues or limited mobility.

We recommend taking this into account before booking so that you can fully enjoy your stay.

Access, parking, and getting around

The house is located on a historic one-way street in the center of Amboise, typical of the old town.

The street is relatively narrow: you can stop in front of the house to easily unload your luggage, but there is no room to turn around.

To leave, you will need to reverse a short distance until you reach a wider street.

Several paid parking spaces are available near the house.

Paid parking generally applies from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM, except on Sundays and public holidays.

You are entitled to one hour of free parking per day by registering your license plate at the parking meter.

For longer periods of free parking, several car parks are accessible within a few minutes' walk, notably the Parking du Mail and the Parking des Tanneurs.

The house is also easily accessible by train, as the Amboise train station is nearby.

Once there, the property's central location allows you to explore most sites, shops, restaurants, and the banks of the Loire on foot.

However, a car remains the most convenient way to visit the châteaux and other tourist attractions in the Loire Valley.

The house is ideally located in the heart of Amboise, in a pleasant neighborhood that makes it easy to explore the town on foot.

You can enjoy the historic streets of the town center, the shops, the cafés, and the banks of the Loire River—all just minutes away.

Must-see local attractions include the Royal Château of Amboise, Clos Lucé (Leonardo da Vinci’s final home), and the gardens and beautiful walks along the Loire.

The house’s location allows you to make the most of Amboise without needing a car for major sightseeing, dining, or walks.
